Exciting New Releases Await Sports Card Collectors

As the weather turns harsh across much of the nation, collectors of contemporary hobby items will need to buckle down for some indoor activity. The next few weeks are bringing a range of exciting new releases to local hobby shops and online retailers, including breakers. Here’s a peek at what’s coming up:

SAGE Low Series Football – January 12, 2024

Perfect for football card enthusiasts, SAGE Low Series Football is notable for its early arrival. Despite lacking team logos, this pre-draft release features a host of autographed cards. Each box contains 16 packs, each with an autograph and seven cards in total. Look out for the new SP Kaleidoscope Autographs and on-card signatures in the Next Level autograph cards. Hobby boxes are available for under $130 on eBay, with blaster boxes also on offer.

2022-23 Upper Deck ICE Hockey – Now Available

Aptly named for this season, the 2022-23 Upper Deck ICE Hockey is still branded for the previous season but is now available. Each box offers 12 packs with six cards, usually including an autograph or memorabilia card. Notable features are hard-signed Ice Premieres Auto and Auto Patch cards, as well as a 250-card base set. Signature Swatches cards add a unique element with a hard-signed autograph and game-worn jersey swatch. These boxes are currently priced at around $125.

Bowman’s Best Baseball – January 17, 2023

Focusing on prospects and rookies, Bowman’s Best Baseball offers 12 packs per Hobby box, spread over two mini-boxes, and at least three Chrome autograph cards. This year’s edition features an insert set by Hall of Famer Randy Johnson. Secure your Hobby box now for the best eBay price of $289. The same day will also see the release of 2023 Leaf Metal Draft Baseball.

Topps Stadium Club Baseball – January 24, 2023

After a delay from its original October release, Topps Stadium Club Baseball is finally hitting the market. Known for its photo-focused 300-card base set, the set comes in two Hobby box versions. Hobby boxes are available for $148. On the same day, make sure to look out for the release of 2023-24 Upper Deck Trilogy Hockey, which promises two autograph and/or memorabilia cards per box.

Panini Donruss Basketball – January 26, 2023

On January 26, get ready for the release of 2023-24 Panini Donruss Basketball, featuring fat packs and Rated Rookies. Hobby boxes contain ten packs, each with 30 cards, including one autograph. Also releasing on the same day is 2023 Panini Phoenix Football, with boxes containing two autos, one memorabilia card, and various other collectibles, priced in the $300-$350 range online.
