Mile High Extra Innings Auction Showcases Vintage Collectibles

Mile High Card Company has once again raised the stakes in the world of vintage card collecting with its latest Extra Innings Auction, launched on Tuesday, May 28. Following the holiday weekend, this auction offers a refreshing array of over 1,200 lots, designed to capture the hearts of collectors worldwide.

At the heart of the auction are some truly remarkable pieces that are sure to set pulses racing within the collecting community. Among them is a PSA 9 graded 1973 Topps Mike Schmidt rookie card, a gem coveted by many collectors for its historical significance. Also stealing the spotlight is a 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie card graded PSA 6 (MC), a true treasure for enthusiasts of baseball’s golden era. Not to be outdone, a T206 Ty Cobb Portrait with a radiant red background, rated SGC 3, adds a touch of nostalgia to the collection.

Beyond these standout cards, the auction boasts an impressive selection of complete and partial sets, including a 1956 Topps set featuring numerous graded cards. This variety ensures that collectors of all levels and interests will find something to pique their curiosity and fuel their passion for the hobby.

For fans of baseball icons Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, the auction offers a range of cards from the 1933 Goudey series, allowing collectors to own a piece of history. Also up for bid is a 1950 Bowman Jackie Robinson card graded SGC 5 EX, along with a 1952 Topps Willie Mays card also graded SGC 5, sure to attract admirers of these legendary players. The auction rounds out its collection with cards featuring other sports greats such as a 1954 Topps Henry Aaron card graded PSA 3 and a 1961 Topps Mickey Mantle card graded PSA 7.

But it’s not all about the old-school legends. Modern collectibles make an appearance in the auction as well, with a 2000 Bowman Tom Brady ROY Promotion card graded PSA 6 making waves among football card enthusiasts. Additionally, sealed Pokémon Base Set boxes from 1999 and 2000 offer a nod to the nostalgia of ’90s kids and appeal to a new generation of collectors.

Collectors eager to get their hands on these coveted items have until Thursday, June 6 to place their bids and secure their prized possessions. Meanwhile, Mile High Card Company is already looking ahead to its next major catalog auction set for later this summer and is currently welcoming consignments from collectors looking to showcase their own treasures.
